What does a laptop consist of

Computer technology is constantly evolving and improving. Once computers were large and could occupy half of the room. Now came to replace the compact devices that are lightweight and high mobility - laptops. They quickly gained popularity among computer users. And now on the shelves of shops there are models with a variety of characteristics and a complete set.

Laptop look

All laptop elements are enclosed in one case. The case itself can be displayed on the upper and lower parts. The display is built into the top. At the bottom are the controls, keyboard and touchpad. Between themselves, the halves are connected with a special cable. He is also responsible for transferring information from the controls to the monitor. Thanks to this, an image is formed on the laptop screen.

The device matrix can be made using two IPS and TN technologies. The first provides a better picture. The formed image is distinguished by high clarity and excellent color reproduction.

Also different displays and coverage. It can be glossy and matte. The glossy version has more saturated and vivid colors. However, when light hits, such a surface begins to cast off glare, which makes it difficult to work. Therefore, the matte version is more comfortable, you can even work in direct sunlight. The resolution of the matrix varies from 1366x768 to 3840x2160. 4K monitors are installed on top laptop models.

Also in the case of the laptop are all the necessary ports for connecting peripheral devices:

  1. Usb
  2. HDMI
  3. Lan.
  4. Headphone output.
  5. Charger socket.

In addition to them, there are modules for wireless signal transmission - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a camera, a microphone, speakers and an inverter, which is necessary to illuminate the laptop screen.

Depending on a complete set, functionality and cost of a product, the case can be made of plastic or metal.

The keyboard of the device is located in its lower part. Unlike the usual computer, the laptop keyboard is solid. Despite its ease of use, it has a significant drawback. If on a conventional keyboard, if necessary, you can change the keys, then here you will need to replace it completely.

Here is the touchpad, which serves as a mouse. It has a sensory surface, which makes its use very convenient, just swipe your finger on it.

What is the laptop inside?

To find out what's inside the laptop, just remove its back cover. Under it are all the main controls

RAM

It is necessary to store temporary information. The data is used by the device's processor to perform the tasks assigned to it. The larger the amount of RAM, the easier and faster the processor will be.

Despite the fact that the laptop has a modest size, in terms of RAM, it is not inferior to the system unit. Game models of the laptop can have a "RAM", the size of 64 GB. Depending on the number of slots on the motherboard, the RAM on some laptops can be increased if necessary.

Optical drive

Unlike the drive installed on the system units, the laptop drive is very compact. This is due to the lack of a sliding tray. Structurally, it is no different from a regular DVD-drive. Expensive models are equipped with Blu-Ray drives.

Cooling system

It is responsible for cooling the parts of the laptop and does not allow them to overheat. It consists of fans and special pipes. With the help of these pipes the device cooler draws air. Next, it gets to the controls. To prevent components from overheating, the cooling system must be maintained. Periodic it needs to be cleaned from dust and dirt.

Attention! For effective operation of the cooling system, it is undesirable to place a laptop on soft surfaces.

CPU

It is necessary for the implementation of all processes in the laptop. This is the "brain" of the entire device. Here is the receipt and processing of all data.

The manufacture of processors involved in two firms: Intel and AMD. Intel elements have excellent performance and provide faster processing speed. Therefore, they are more popular with owners of computer equipment. Processors differ in their power. On top models of laptops install powerful high-performance options.

Video adapter

Thanks to the graphic adapter, an image is formed, which is then displayed on the device display. A video card can be built-in, integrated, or removable, discrete. The second option is preferable. If necessary, it can be replaced with a new one.

To replace the built-in adapter, you will need to change the motherboard. The graphics adapter is responsible for the quality of the picture. Therefore, depending on the destination, laptops are equipped with adapters with different characteristics. So, gaming devices have powerful graphics cards with top performance.

HDD

Winchester is a device for storing all information. The operating system is installed on it, all documents, programs and files are stored here. Hard disks differ in volume. If necessary, it can always be replaced by a larger hard drive.

Now HDDs have begun to replace HDDs. They have a faster speed of work. Therefore, they install Windows and the necessary utilities on them, which makes launching the operating system and all programs quick. The usual hard disk is used as storage of programs and files.

Motherboard

The motherboard connects all the components of the laptop. Absolutely all elements of the laptop are connected to it. All boards differ in performance. On top models install powerful motherboards.

Battery

The battery is responsible for the autonomous operation of the laptop. Its capacity depends on how long the device can work without recharging. Batteries can be removable or built-in. The first option is preferable. If necessary, it can be easily replaced with a new one. The battery requires proper handling, the only way to extend its life.

All elements of the laptop are interconnected. Each of them is selected based on the required characteristics. From them will depend on the price and purpose of the device. Therefore, when choosing the optimal laptop model, you need to carefully study the characteristics of each of its components.
