What is AUX IN at the music center

Music centers and other audio players are equipped with various input and output connectors. One of them is AUX IN. This is an additional channel designed to reproduce the signal. And it has a fairly wide scope.

WhatAuxIN at the music center

This channel allows you to transmit a signal from any external portable device to the music center.

REFERENCE! In translation, this name means "additional", "secondary". Technically, it is designed in such a way that it is able to receive a signal from mobile devices, such as smartphones and players.

On older speakers, instead of AUX IN there is CD IN, but they are used for the same purpose.

What is it needed forAuxIN and how to use it to connect

Through this channel, you can turn on the music on your phone or player, but play it through the speakers in the music center. Thus, you can enjoy good sound on whatever device the music is. Often the music center is used to play a signal from a computer - for this, AUX IN is also used.

AUX IN is located on the back of the speaker system, less often on the front. Most often, this input is represented by 2 RCA ("tulip") connectors, but there are also "large" (6.3 mm) and "small" (3.5 mm) Jacks.

The output channel on portable devices, as a rule, is min-Jack, which is considered standard for all headphones. So, to play the signal from the phone on the speaker system, you need a suitable cable - most often mini-Jack - RCA. However, any wire does not fit - you need a four-wire speaker with an external copper braid.

ATTENTION! The necessary cable can be easily purchased at the store - they are still widely used, therefore they are sold everywhere. It is also quite simple to solder it independently from the wire from the headphones. You will need to replace the speakers with RCA plugs. Instead of the left earphone, you should make a white "tulip", and instead of the right - red.

Connecting the device is quite simple: mini-Jack is inserted into a smartphone or player, and “tulips” in the music center in accordance with the color. That is, the white RCA is in the white input, and the red plug is in red. Some models of music centers allow you to manually set the playback channel. In this case, you will need to select the AUX mode.

Then it remains only to turn on the music on the portable device. In the absence of signals through other channels, the speaker will reproduce it. There is also a combination of playback, for example, music can be simultaneously played through AUX and USB. In this situation, just select the desired mode or mute the sound from other channels.

When connecting a smartphone to the music center, you have to leave it near the speaker system because of the wire. There is an interesting option for using AUX IN - this is a Bluetooth adapter. You can connect it to the music center, and play music from any other device. There will be no limit in the form of wire length.

Through AUX IN, you can connect a TV or computer to use the music center to play sound from these devices. Thus, you can achieve high-quality sound, for example, when watching movies.

AUX IN, despite its simple purpose, significantly expands the capabilities of the music center. Using various cables and adapters, you can connect almost any device to the system and enjoy good sound. With the correct arrangement of the speakers, it is easy to make a kind of home theater out of the music center.
