Game consoles for TV how to choose

A game console is the thing without which it is impossible to imagine a single modern gamer! The first game consoles filled the market for players back in the distant 90 years, and since then - they are gaining more and more popularity!

Why are they so popular and how to choose the best game console? Let's talk about this in more detail!

The prefix (sometimes it is also called the "game console" or "IP") - A specially designed electronic device for processing a large number of visual content - games.

Classic console form factor - this is a small case (similar to a big book - an encyclopedia), with the ability to connect devices to control the game - joysticks (gamepads, sticks).

Additionally:for people who love the process of complete immersion in virtual reality, it is possible to connect the (real, physical) steering wheel or steering wheel of the aircraft, which several times increases the level of gaming experience!

Also, usually the set-top box does not have its own screen for displaying images - they use your home TV for this purpose. With it, the manufacturer can save on the screen (you already have a TV screen at home), and also - this solution allows you to make the device portable (you can take it with you on trips or with friends - the owner is not attached to his housework).

Inside the case, manufacturers install special powerful components - the best video cards and the rest of the technical "stuffing", which is intended exclusively for games!

Thanks to the original idea from the manufacturers, game developers can immediately optimize them on the console, which makes the game more comfortable and realistic, in terms of gaming solutions.

You can also often find exclusive games on the console. This is explained by the interest of developers and manufacturers to do joint projects. They both benefit: game developers - they are sure - their project will be in demand and optimized, they will be able to make money on it, and manufacturers will receive exclusive content for the console, which increases the overall level of sales of consoles.

The game console can be divided into two types:

  • Console;

A console is a classic type of game console (IP) that was already mentioned today.

  • Portable (manual) console.

This is a new kind of IP, which is an alternative to the "classic console". Such IPs can also be connected to a TV, but they already have a built-in, small screen and controls (buttons on the sides, for convenient holding IPs and gaming), their size allows you to carry IPs even in your pocket.

Also, the handheld console has a built-in electric battery, which must be periodically charged (like a smartphone), which makes it possible for the player to use the IP almost anywhere! The charge level will allow you to enjoy gaming about 4 - 5 hours (depending on model)!

Reference:The first portable IPs appeared in the days of the Soviet Union - the famous electronic game "The Wolf Catches Eggs". Its low cost made it possible to purchase it for almost every Soviet child, and the long charge of ordinary batteries allowed it to play almost around the clock, without stopping!

It should be guided by a simple rule: - "the more productive the "filling" inside the console, the better!".

The main thing for the player - ultimately get the opportunity to play your favorite games at the maximum level of detail in the graphics (many developers make their games with the ability to vary the graphics level, which reduces the load on the limited computing power of the console).

Also, it is worth considering that large TV diagonal - it will require more computing power, which can slow down the game somewhat, but most modern developers optimize their projects for the “big picture” in advance, but this is not all - sometimes there may be difficulties.

In earlier times, there was a myth that IPs can harm the TV. Modern TVs - are distinguished by increased protection from "burning out the image": the bright colors of games are not scary, as they were in the 90s, when "spots" could remain on the screen, after using the set-top box.

A plus:

  • You can always play the best games that are optimized for your hardware;
  • Portability;
  • Variability of control devices;
  • Small physical dimensions of the device.

Minus:

  • High price;
  • Inability to replace internal components with better and more powerful components;
  • High price tag for buying games.
