Unfortunately, there are times when, putting food in the microwave for heating, after a while a person finds it just as cold. At the same time, the device twists the substrate, the display panel lights up, but the food has not warmed up. What should be done in this case? Possible reasons for a malfunction in the microwave:

If heating does not occur due to an incorrectly set mode, then, following the instructions in the instruction manual, select and set the desired mode on the control panel.

- Door out of order. The latch may break at the door, and fuses do not allow the appliance to work with the door open to avoid microwave leakage.
Self-diagnosis and possible repair
If the product turns on, but the food does not heat up and the microwave is buzzing, then most likely the problem is as follows:
- Denied diode;
- Denied capacitor;
- Denied magnetron.

If, nevertheless, there was a desire to independently identify the problem and repair the product, then you need to understand that the device is dangerous. Even in the off state, there is probability of electric shock with a voltage of 5 thousand V.

Before operation, the microwave must be disconnected from the mains and wait a while so that high voltage disappears.
After removing the cover, make sure that all fuses are intact. If carbon deposits appear on the surface of the fuses or the thread is damaged, they must be replaced.
If a strong hum is heard when the device is turned on, then most likely the capacitor has stopped working. To check, you need a tester. If during the check the arrow of the tester will stand still, then the capacity must be changed. Before replacing a capacitor, discharge it.
Checking the diode is complex and rarely performed. A faulty diode causes a hum or, after turning on the machine, the fuses blow.
If during testing the furnace no malfunctions were detected, then most likely the magnetron will fail. That is, it will need to be examined for the appearance of soot or damage to the case. If none are found, it is necessary to test it using a tester switched to ohmmeter mode.
